Six-fold Geometry at Fonthill Down.
Image
Fonthill Down , nr Chicklade, Wiltshire. 30th May, 2017. Barley crop.

This very pretty design appeared close to Chicklade, not far from Salisbury in Wiltshire. . In fact, as we flew over this circle we could see the great spire of Salisbury cathedral from the aircraft.
It another very attractive six-fold design placed rather beautifully between a strip of trees in an adjacent field and what appeared to be a circle of trees in the field where the circle was located – it was nestled beautifully in a small dip in the field. Despite only been reported a day earlier there were several visitors in the field enjoying the late afternoon sunshine. Be aware however, as we do not have any tacit evidence the farmer is allowing anyone into his field.
The design once again was six-fold in geometry, a nice play on overlapping circles to create a rather exotic central flower with curved arms extending from each petal and a terminating in a circle.

Summer Lectures Crop Circle Conference 2017
Exploring the Crop Circle Phenomenon
28th, 29th & 30th July 2017 – The Ballroom, The Bear Hotel, Devizes, Wiltshire, UK

Re-Visioning our Crop Circle Conference.

It has been over ten years since we first began the Summer Crop Circle Lectures and during that time the crop circle phenomenon while remaining constant has changed enormously. The way we think about the subject and interact with the circles has moved on and so has the way we view the conference, so for 2017 we have re-visioned the event, freshening it up.

One thing we have wanted to do for a while was bring a new ethos to the idea of the conference; something that looked a little less like entertainment and felt more like community and collegiality. It was time for the conference to mature and become a place where the crop circles were not only enjoyed and celebrated, but where people can come and join in the conversation, share their experiences and participate in a more inclusive and collaborative way. Almost as important as the circles themselves are the people, often full of experience, insight and wisdom it is they, in addition to our speakers that make up the ‘body conference’.

As always our speakers will be drawn from those who have actually spent time in the fields and those who are actively engaged in the endeavour to better understand the phenomenon. Our speakers will not just be published authors, or professional speakers, but people who genuinely have something interesting and progressive to say about the phenomenon – some will be updating us about where their research has taken them in the last year, or over several years.
About Us.
Steve Alexander has been photographing the crop circles for twenty years. During that time he and Karen have provided a important service to the crop circle world by supplying professional quality photographic imagery of the circles to researchers, the media and the general public.

Since 1999 they have produced an annual Year Book showcasing the very best formations of each year along with a written commentary researched by Karen Alexander. The Crop Circle Year Book books are beautifully produced and they contain some of the best crop circle photography you will find anywhere. They are self-published, in small numbers and are not widely available, many consider them to be the most important crop circle documents available.
