We have taken to the skies to take our first
photo flight of the 2017 season. After a delay in being able to record and finance some of the seasons early starters, we managed to capture some of the formations gracing the fields of southern England at this moment in time. Already the oilseed rape crop is losing its distinctive yellow flowers as they fade to green.
The 2017 crop circle season was
anticipated, and expected, but as usual the circlemakers caught everyone out as the recent pattern of activity in previous years, with the circles starting in late May early June, was duly ignored for a much earlier start. The early start to the season has excited many, as thoughts of a very active season have materialised in people's minds. There is nothing like the mesmerising appearance of the first circles
of the season. It's like a great drought that has been broken, and the Winters dreariness is replaced by the promise of inspiring shapes and forms in the fields.

Olivers Castle Formation, 2017.

Olivers Castle, nr Devizes, Wiltshire, reported 24th April, 2017, oliseed rape/canola crop. Image copyright Steve Alexander. Click on image above to visit our website.
The 24th of April saw the appearance of a large ringed formation at Olivers Castle, near Devizes in Wiltshire. Again in rape seed crop. Although large, the circle had very little
flattened crop, with only the circumference decorated with an array of small standing circles. Already when this formation was photographed by early visitors, the crop was starting to lose its distinctive yellow flowers. Flying over the countryside we could see that the yellow flowers on the oilseed rape was dwindling.

Please note - We now have to pay for all of our flights as soon as we have taken them. Unfortunately because of the financial climate, payment terms that we have had over several years have been withdrawn. So this makes our recording of the crop corcles even more difficult.

Willoughby Hedge, Nr Mere, Wiltshire. Reported 4th May 2017,oliseed rape/canola crop. Image copyright Steve Alexander. Click on image above to visit our website.
Into May at Willoughby Hedge, Nr Mere, Wiltshire we had a strange Z like event which appeared on the 4th May in rape seed. It is located very close to a circle which appeared there last year in 2017. The formation has seven circles on each arc. The meaning although speculated on by many, remains enigmatic.
