Is This The Grand Finale At Antsy? And Is This The Best Formation Ever?
Image
Ansty, Nr Salisbury, Wiltshire. Reported 12th August.
See more images on our website.

The formation is simply huge, measuring approximately 450ft in diameter and it all but fills the small field in which it appeared. It is a very elaborate design incorporating, leaves, inter-woven circles and much more. The crop is very mature wheat. We flew over this formation several days after its appearance and the design was holding up very well even after a raft of visitors. We flew early in morning and as its often the case in mid-late August there was a striking heat inversion clearly visible in the atmosphere which only added the the ambience of the flight.

Although we are struggling for funds, we could not miss the opportunity to photograph this formation and took the risk financially. It will be harvested very soon so it was very time sensitive.

This crop circle can accessed at Ansty PYO and Farm Shop for £5 which includes a beverage. Opening times Tuesday to Saturday 9:30am - 5:30pm. - Sundays, Mondays 10:00am - 4:00pm.

ALL MONEY GOING TO THE FOLLOWING CHARITIES

As you might imagine, this crop circle has courted some pretty intense controversy with opinion split as to its origins. The design bears a striking resemblance to a logo for American company 'Mothership Glass' which makes hand blown glass products. On the other hand, the farmer, his staff and neighbours deny all knowledge of the crop circle until the 12th of August when it was reported and deny that they have been paid or given permission for the crop circle to be made. They also deny seeing anyone in the field at all - which is very near the farm buildings. To be clear, the crop circle is not an exact replica of the Mothership Glass logo, the words have been replaced by a series of very intricate glyphs  - 20 in all - and there are several interpretations for these - We will update our website with more information as we have it. However it got there, it is well worth a visit and the money is going to two very worthy charities.
