Milk Hill, Nr Stanton St. Bernard, Wiltshire | 08.08.2008

In my last two blogs I had been looking at two crop circles that appeared on the same date, the 8th of August 2015. But there was a formation that appeared back in 2008 on the 8th of August making the date, the 8th day of the 8th Month 2008 – or 8-8-8.

So I thought it might be an opportune moment to dive back into the archives and take a look at a formation that was yet another to appear on this date, but to have the added iteration of eight as the year that it appeared.
I wish I could find a word that would accurately describe the nature of the formation that appeared below Milk Hill between Alton Barnes and Stanton St Bernard, in Wiltshire on the 8th of August 2008 (8-8-8). The formation appeared as a huge figure eight in the landscape, made almost entirely from circles of varying dimensions. So it was a crop circle in the pattern of a figure eight which appeared on the 08.08.2008. If one were talking of prose, one might call it an alliteration, but what is the world for an alliteration of forms? I’m not sure there is one.

Crop Circle Geometry Workshop. Part Of The Summer Crop Circle Lectures 2016.
Image

Number, shape, form, proportion and geometry are the language of the crop circles, of that there can be little doubt. They are their very fabric and framework, their flesh and bones if you will. One cannot really have any meaningful discussion about crop circles with out being able to talk about number and geometry and many of the talks at our conference over the years have dealt with this very aspect of the phenomenon. This hands-on workshop is a gateway into the world of crop circle geometry, designed for both the beginner and the more experienced explorer. It hopes to lift the veil on what can seem a bewildering, complex and specialised subject matter and give background and context to some of what you will hear discussed in some of the lectures during the conference.

  • This year we aim to cover the following:
  • What is Geometry?
  • The quantities, qualities and philosophy of numbers
  • Approaching the geometry/drawing of the Crop Circles
  • Introducing Pi
  • The Squaring of the Circle explained
  • An Introduction to Phi (the Golden Section & Fibonacci).

We will provide all your drawing equipment and materials and guide you step by step through the process of constructing some drawings of your own. If there is one sure-fire way of gaining a quick appreciation of the circle-makers art, it’s by trying to draw a little of it for yourself! Most of all we hope to have a little fun, do a little drawing, perhaps a little colouring-in and learn while we play!

Michael Glickman & Karen Alexander will be your guides through the realms of sacred geometry and drawing the crop circle forms. Michael has long been acknowledged as one of the foremost authorities on Crop Circle Geometry and Karen Alexander is well known for her beautiful drawings of the crop formations. Together they make a formidable team!

Original Crop Circle Paintings For Sale.
Image
Dear Friends.
I am currently offering some of my original crop circle paintings for sale on the website. Once they are gone, they are gone. I have sold two already.
So if there's one you like grab it now. I will be using part of the price tag to get high resolution archive files of the paintings for posterity - but these are the originals. They were lovingly drawn and painted while I meditated upon the formations - please enjoy them and please give them a good home.
