About the Crop Circle Year Book 2014:
THE CROP CIRCLE YEAR BOOK 2014, is the sixteenth in a series of year books by Steve Alexander (photographer) and Karen Alexander (writer)
portraying the beautiful and mysterious crop circle phenomenon within
the UK. This popular series of full colour, fine-art-reproduction books
are privately published in limited numbers and come to you directly from
the authors; they have become an invaluable and magical window into the
fields of southern England, and are the only annually published books
on the subject.
The 2014 crop circle season saw a quiet renaissance for the
phenomenon. As if to signal the beginning of a new phase, the circles
burst their usual geographic boundaries with wonderful formations spread
out all over the UK: Wiltshire, Hampshire, Dorset, Warwickshire &
Sussex. It was a beautiful and thought-provoking season, measured,
considered, detailed and at times almost prayerful. As if to emphasise
this deepening of tone, several of the formations displayed exquisite
interiors with patterns and geometry woven into the floor-lay, rather
than expressed in flattened and standing crop. This move to the 'inner'
and 'internal' seemed to convey a quiet, spiritual and introspective
mood. The year was also punctuated by some utterly stunning formations,
huge, powerful, magical sigils in the crop. The 2014 season showed us
the power, depth and breadth of the phenomenon, from the small and
exquisite, to the majesty and mastery of some of the years show
stoppers.
This edition combines inspirational photographic and artistic imagery
with thought provoking text to create a unique book full of the
atmosphere and ambience of this amazing phenomenon.
