New UK Circles to Report...
We have several new formations to report this week. A Major circle at Silbury Hill - the second formation to appear there this summer and another close to Avebury. Here are some pictures... and there are many other great shots of these circles on our website - click on any of the images to see the rest...
Silbury Hill (North) reported 7th July 2013 - Wheat approx 250ft in length.
New circle at Silbury Hill. The first 'major' design of the season.
The Ridgeway (near Avebury)
reported 6th July 2013 - wheat
beautiful simplicity!
Neither formation is accessible on the ground to visitors, but the farmers are leaving them in the fields as long as visitors stay away.
Sadly two further formations were cut from the fields before any record could be made of them - one at Milk Hill and another near Lockeridge. 2013 is proving to be a very difficult year in regard to farmer relations. We can only hope that more talking will let farmers know that there are serious plans in place to help compensate them.
Support the Farmers...
You can support farmers by donating the CROP CIRCLE ACCESS PASS project which raises money to help compensate farmers for the loss of their crops when a circle appears. You can donate to their Crowd Funding Campaign for farmers by clicking on the image below. Helping to compensate farmers will help foster better access to the circles and will hopefully stop the amount of circles that are cut out by farmers concerned about further damage to their fields. This a really important project that has been backed by the National Farmers Union, Visit Wiltshire, Devizes Museum, the local member of parliament for Devizes and by many in the crop circle community. It's vital that we support farmers if we want to be able to continue to visit the circles and to photograph them. Last year we missed photographing several formations because they were cut out - so please help if you can. Even the smallest amounts helps. If we can't get this project to work many more crop circles could be lost in the future.

Latest Drawings...
Silbury Hill (1) 2013. Here's Karen's drawing of the first Silbury formation - it's not yet quite complete, the symbols that appeared around the outside of the formation have yet to be drawn in!
More of Karen's drawings will be on display at our forthcoming conference - and you can even take part in a workshop drawing with Karen at the event too. See below...
