Four new circles to report!
Hi everyone,

THANK YOU.

Firstly we would like to thank everyone who made a donation to our flight fund recently. Because of this we were able to take out latest flight and cover these new circles. We are enormously appreciative. But we still need your help, there is much of the season still ahead. All the best images we took on the flight are now on our image library on the website where everyone can see them for free. Remember we have an archive spanning 18 years on our website that is free to browse anytime. Click the header at the top of this email to visit the website.

After a relatively quiet start to the season, the summer solstice brought a splash of new formations to the Wiltshire Landscape. We have FOUR new circles to report! See below for images.

We have a new blog about the Hackpen Hill formation - see right-hand column below for details and a link.

We'd also like to remind you all once again, to book your tickets for our conference if you haven't already. Places are going fast! Our Night-watch/vigil is now sold out and seats on our coach tour are going fast - book now to avoid disappointment!

News...

1. NEW circles at Winterbourne Stoke, Lockeridge and Stanton St Bernard Wiltshire. Reported 21st & 22nd June 2011. Barley & Wheat.

The Summer Solstice seemed to inspire a small flutter of crop circles across the Wiltshire landscape. Two appeared close to Stonehenge, where revellers watch the sunrise each year on the longest day.  Two appeared in the familiar territory of the Pewsey Vale at Stanton Bernard and West Woods, Lockeridge. There was a fifth, a small formation in East Field, but it was cut out by the farmer before anyone could fly it.

Here are some images. We will cover some of the formations in detail in forthcoming blogs.

2. Flight Fund Appeal - Now Urgent

We continue to need financial help to continue our flying this summer and it is fast becoming critical.

Although there have been relatively few circles this summer the costs of our flights to record them have been enormous.

We realise that the financial climate is having an effect on a lot of you too, but if anyone can help by making a donation no matter how small to our flight fund, or by making a purchase from our online store it would help us enormously.

Without your urgent help and support we will not be able to continue.

We deeply appreciate all your donations and purchases - without you we just couldn't continue...

THANK-YOU!

About Us:
Steve Alexander has been photographing the crop circles for twenty years. During that time he and Karen have provided a important service to the crop circle world by supplying professional quality photographic imagery of the circles to researchers, the media and the general public.

Since 1999 they have produced an annual Year Book showcasing the very best formations of each year along with a written commentary researched by Karen Alexander. The Crop Circle Year Book books are beautifully produced and they contain some of the best crop circle photography you will find anywhere. They are self-published, in small numbers and are not widely available, many consider them to be the most important crop circle documents available.

You can look, but you don't always see
Karen looks at the recent Hackpen Hill formation, in her latest blog..

"Sometimes we can look at things and, in fact, fail to see what is before us. This happens especially with repeating patterns. We expect to see them. We fill in the missing parts without thinking. It's part of human nature. But if we are to really grasp the patterns and geometry of the crop circles we have to look at what is there, rather than what we expect to see, or would like to see. Sometimes by hook, or by crook, circumstance, or coincidence (and just like the Rolling Stones song), we might not get what we want - but we might just get what we need!"
