This was by far the most impressive formation of the 2016 season. It measured some 450ft approx and was located in a sloping field on the side of Ranscomb Bottom, a deep and beautiful scenic valley at the end of the Marlborough Downs.

This design is made from beautiful five-fold geometry, pentagrams and pentagons combine to create a sublime image. We have seen five several times this year – including in the first recorded formation of this season at East Kennett.
Five is the number of life and regeneration, it governs the proportions and designs of many forms of life on Planet Earth – even your fingers and toes!
