1. Another Crop Circle at Hackpen Hill.
2. Help Us Record The Circles in 2018.
Hackpen Hill Has a Second Visitation.
This second circle to appear below Hackpen Hill was reported on the morning of the 23rd of June. We have read that people had been sat on the the hilltop all night and saw nothing until daybreak. The circle measures approximately 200ft in diameter and is in a field of young
wheat.
Hackpen Hill is a regular site for crop circles and many have been seen there over the years. They do not always occur in the same field every year, sometimes they appear at the top of the hill by the ancient Ridgeway path that routes from Avebury and onto Barbury Castle, sometimes below. The two in 2018 are below the White Horse. Hackpen White Horse was cut to
commemorate the coronation of Queen Victoria in 1838.
This design looked crisp and sharp in the field. A small pentagram in a circle is then further contained within two rings, all arranged to create a crescent moon pattern – a Star and a Moon. Both these design motifs have been used with incredible regularity in crop circle design, always different,
always beautiful. There is also a lovely Phi proportion which holds the whole design together.
