News...

As of yet there have been no reported crop circles in the UK. Although it might seem obvious, but crop circles occur only during the crop growing season. In the UK the first circles can start to occur in April and May, reaching their height in late July and August. Crop circles do in fact occur all over the world in many countries and obviously they similarly follow growing seasons in that particular part of the world. In the UK most circles occur in the county of Wiltshire, although circles do happen (in lesser numbers) countrywide. In the early season (April/May) numbers are few but this gradually builds up as the summer moves on, at the height of the season (late July/August) several circles can appear on one night. The season ends with the harvest – and the slate is wiped clean for another year. In the UK the first crop to mature is oilseed rape (canola), then barley, then wheat – the circles seem to follow this maturation process with the first circles appearing in the brilliant yellow of the canola fields and finishing in mature golden wheat. From time to time circles have appeared in other crops – linseed, borage, oats, even beans. There are no hard and fast rules – so anything goes!

THE CROP CIRCLE YEAR BOOK 2004, was the sixth edition in a series of year books by Steve Alexander (photographer) and Karen Alexander (writer) portraying the beautiful and mysterious crop circle phenomenon within the UK. This popular series of full colour, fine-art-reproduction books were privately published in limited numbers and early editions have become highly collectable and sought after. This classic edition is one of the rarest editions and copies don’t come up for sale very often. This book includes the Venus in transit, the Caduceus, the seven chakras, and the amazing Silbury Hill formation of that year (front cover) and many other stunning formations.

This is one of the most difficult editions of our years books to source secondhand.

This edition is out of print. But we do currently have one secondhand copy in 'good' condition available.

CONDITION – IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: This book is a secondhand used copy. There is a small crease on the bottom-right of the back cover and there is wear to some of the pages, but it is in otherwise good condition. Binding is tight with no loose or missing pages. There is no writing or highlighting on any of the pages. We have reflected this condition in the reduced price of £99.00 from £199.99 for an excellent copy.
