Michael Glickman 1941-2020 About Michael GlickmanMany of you reading this newsletter will have known Michael, heard about him, or even read some of his many contributions to the crop circle subject. But some newcomers to the crop circles may not be familiar with this brilliant, erudite
and much-loved veteran researcher. Michael Glickman was a highly influential voice in crop circle research for over three decades. Known for his charisma, sharp intellect, wit, and willingness to challenge orthodox thinking, he was a prolific writer and respected speaker. His work included significant contributions to the
Cereologist magazine and several important books, including Crop Circles (1996), Cornography (2007), and Crop Circles: The Bones of God (2009). His website represented the final and most fully-developed expression of his work. Caring for his Legacy
Following his death in 2020, Michael's website has been lovingly maintained by family and friends. The website is a veritable treasure-trove of insight, wit and wisdom about the crop circles. Michael toiled long and diligently over his website blog entires. They are full of geometric analyses, well-informed observations and deep speculations about the ultimate nature of the phenomenon. He was a true noticer of
things! Now, in consultation with his family, we have undertaken the task of integrating Michael's website into our own, securing his work for the future and making it easily accessible to researchers, enthusiasts, and newcomers alike. Michael Glickman Archive Fund
To enable us to do this we are launching the Michael Glickman Archive Fund to raise the money needed to carry out the work. The project aims to raise £1,200 to professionally get the integration done, ensuring long-term public access to his research. The archive will be freely available to all, with no paywalls or advertising.
Having worked alongside Michael for
many years, this project is a deeply personal commitment to preserving his legacy. Once the integration is complete, the archive will eventually be expanded with additional materials from our own personal collections, alongside invited contributions from friends and colleagues. Together, we can undertake a meaningful act of service—in honouring Michael and his work.
Donations to the Michael Glickman Archive Fund can be made in £5 increments via our website. All contributions will go
directly toward completing the project. We'd like to thank each and everyone that contributes, your help is deeply appreciated. Updates will be given on how the projects funds are progressing on a regular basis via our newsletters.
With Love, Karen & Steve.
