Thank you to everyone who has donated recently. We received some bad news this week that the helicopter base we have used for many years has now closed. This is a massive blow for us.
The reason for the closure is that there is a lack of pilots available to fly us after the pandemic when many of them were made redundant. In the meantime, many of the pilots moved on to find other work and have not returned. So with the lack of pilots the base has closed.
This leaves us with a problem. Although we do use drones to a certain extent, the quality at the moment is not good enough for our requirements. So we have been trying to find alternative transportation. Unfortunately, the alternative bases we could use are further away from the locations the crop circles are normally in. This means that the distance we will have to travel will be
further, and in turn more expensive. We will have to drive further, and fly further.
It now seems that what we do is not viable anymore and unless we can raise a considerable amount of revenue, we will step back from recording the crop circles.
We are exploring every avenue including sponsorship to help fund what we do. So we are not giving up, but it’s going to be difficult.
The crop circle season has started but we are not able to cover it at present. Recently we asked you kind people for donations because of the increasing costs of our operation, just website costs alone are going through the roof. Now we have this situation with the flying.
If you can donate at this time, it will be extremely appreciated, and vital. See Below.
Some have you have already donated so asking again for another donation is very uncomfortable for us. But this is the situation we are in. Purchasing something from our online shop also helps. So please consider this. SHOP
This is not the start to the 2022 season we wanted but unfortunately this is the way it is.
Thank you for reading this. We will keep you updated. And if you are making a donation,
we thank you greatly. A big thank you to all of you who donated yesterday after our request.
We have a new 2022 section on our website. We have used other people’s images which we thank them for. SEE HERE
